Manny Pacquiao will fight WBA "super" welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas during an August 21 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Las Vegas. Fox Sports and Fite.TV will stream the PPV live from T-Mobile arena starting at 9 p.m. ET.

Ugas steps into the ring as a late replacement for WBC and IBF welterweight title holder Errol Spence Jr., who injured his eye while training. Pacquiao earned the WBA "super" welterweight title after winning his last fight against Keith Thurman in July 2019, but the WBA stripped Pacquiao of the title in 2021 and awarded it to Ugas.

Ugas has won his last three fights dating back to 2019, and Spence's injury will lead to Ugas making his first title defense against the former champion. Pacquiao, now 42-years-old, will also be fighting against age, but hasn't ruled out more fights after Ugas. Pacquiao was already the oldest WBA welterweight champion when he defeated Thurman at age 40.

With championships across eight weight classes, Pacquiao enters the fight as the betting favorite; for Ugas the fight could be career defining as he looks to secure his own legacy.
