REI march end of season clearance sale

  • Through March 29, REI's Member Moment Sale lets Co-op members get 20% off one full-price item.
  • Members need only use the code "MEMBER21" to activate the deal online and in-store.
  • Historically, the best deals never last long, so interested shoppers should act quickly.

REI is a one-stop-shop for outdoor adventurers. If you need anything for hiking, yoga, climbing, or cycling, REI likely has you covered.

For a limited time, the company is giving its REI Co-op members exclusive coupons for 20% off one full-price item, as well as an extra 20% off anything bought via the REI Outlet. This includes gear like tents from Big Agnes, BioLite's FirePit+ (an Insider Reviews favorite), and hiking backpacks from Osprey.

For what it's worth, we think that the perks of REI's lifetime membership far outweigh its one-time $20 cost. The member-exclusive discounts expire on March 29, but stock is limited. So act fast.

Nintendo Switch digital games are up to 50% off on Amazon, Best Buy, and Target now through March 13

If you buy through our links, we may earn money from affiliate partners. Learn more.

Nintendo Switch
  • Nintendo is dropping the price on several games through its eShop during their Mar10 Day sale.
  • Numerous titles, including "Super Mario Maker 2," "Super Mario Odyssey," and "Yoshi's Crafted World," are currently down to their lowest prices ever through March 13.
  • Buying outside of Nintendo's eShop offers one major benefit: more Gold Points.

Shoppers can find popular titles, like "Super Mario Maker 2," "Super Mario Odyssey," "Luigi's Mansion 3," and "Yoshi's Crafted World" down to their lowest prices ever during Nintendo's MAR10 Day sale.

Suffice it to say, this is a perfect opportunity to fill up your Switch's digital library. However, shoppers should consider shopping on Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart first.

Here's why: If you buy a digital game through the retail giant instead of Nintendo's proprietary eShop, you'll get the maximum amount of Gold Points even if you purchased it on sale. eShop, however, will only credit you for the price you paid.

For those unfamiliar, Gold Points are a digital currency that can be earned by purchasing eligible games or downloadable content. Nintendo says points are awarded based on "5% of the amount you pay," and can be used as credit for future, eligible purchases.

This sale ends March 13.

Amazon’s Music Unlimited streaming service is free for 3 months for new subscribers for a limited time

Listening to Music headphones

  • New Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers can get three months of the premium streaming tier for free. This paid tier opens up streaming access to over 60 million songs over the free tier.
  • Current subscribers can also upgrade to the Family Plan free for three months, opening up access for up to six accounts.
Product Card (medium, Preferred: Amazon)

Right now, new Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers can get the first three months of the premium streaming tier for free.

Amazon's Music Unlimited service allows subscribers to stream over 60 million songs, which is a huge step up over the two million songs that the company offers to all Prime members through its free Prime Music service. It matches the claim that Apple makes for its $10 Apple Music streaming service.

With this offer, new subscribers are ostensibly getting a service valued at $30 for free. Better still, you can cancel the service at any time. So if you want to listen to music for free for 3 months, and cancel before spending any money - you have that option.

However, if you enjoyed the three-month offer and want to continue, it costs $8 a month or $10 per month for non-Prime members.

Already an Amazon Music Unlimited subscriber? Starting October 29, current subscribers can upgrade to the Family Plan free for three months, opening up access for up to six accounts. A Family plan normally costs $15 per month, for Prime and non-Prime members, with support for six people.

Walmart+ takes on Amazon Prime by offering free, fast shipping on all orders

Walmart Plus Floating Image 4x3

Table of Contents: Masthead Sticky

To better compete with Amazon, Walmart launched a direct competitor to Amazon's Prime membership called Walmart+ earlier last year. Walmart+ wants to be an affordable alternative to Amazon Prime.

To lure Prime's 150-million-plus members away from Amazon, Walmart will offer unlimited same-day delivery for 160,000 grocery items, tech products, and household essentials and a cheaper annual subscription fee of $98 a year compared to Prime's $119 price.

Previously, Walmart shoppers had to pay for shipping on orders that fell below $35, but Walmart+ subscribers can now get free shipping on all orders no matter the price. The only exception is grocery orders, which will still require a minimum spend of $35 to ship for free.

Below, you'll find answers to frequently asked questions about how Walmart+ works, what kinds of perks are included, how much it costs, and more.

How much does Walmart+ cost?

Walmart+ costs $98 a year, undercutting Amazon Prime's $119 annual subscription fee. A monthly subscription cost $13 for both services. Interested shoppers can take advantage of a 15-day free trial.

What does it offer?

Walmart+ offers subscribers free same-day delivery on select products and discounts on gas.

Shoppers can expect unlimited same-day delivery for 160,000 grocery items, tech products, and household essentials, like Amazon's Prime Now service - no shipping minimum required. The only exception is grocery orders, which still require a minimum of $35 to ship for free.

In-person shoppers, Walmart+ subscribers can use the Scan & Go feature on Walmart's app, for touch-free checkout. Members can also save up to five cents per gallon at 2,000 Walmart, Murphy USA, and Murphy Express gas stations.

How does it compare to Amazon Prime?

Walmart+ may beat Amazon Prime's price, but it's surprisingly light on perks when compared in a head-to-head.

Amazon Prime offers subscribers access to hundreds of movies and TV shows on Prime Video with exclusive access to Amazon Original content like "The Boys" and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," music streaming through Amazon Music Unlimited, cloud photo storage, access to eBooks, and so much more. It remains to be seen if Walmart+ will offer shoppers more than discounts on gas and delivery perks.

Apple fall September event Apple Watch iPad

The Apple Watch is the best smartwatch around, and one of the most popular fitness trackers on the market. Apple sells it in three different versions, Apple Watch Series 6, SE, and the Series 3, starting at $200.

While these smartwatches are, for the most part, more expensive than the competition, Apple Watches go on sale frequently and there's no need to every full price for one.

Wondering which one is right for you? Or how the Apple Watch stacks up to the competition? Here's our guide for the best Apple Watches and our picks for the best smartwatches overall.

We'll update the list below as new, better deals surface.

Table of Contents: Masthead Sticky

Here are the best Apple Watch deals available right now

Apple Watch Series 6 deals

The Apple Watch Series 6 is the flagship model that comes loaded with all of Apple's most advanced health features, its latest processor, a brighter always-on display, and fast charging.

Shoppers should expect to pay 15% less than retail for this model on a regular basis. Discounts over 20% are a little rarer.

Product Card (medium, Preferred: Amazon)

Apple Watch SE deals

The Apple Watch SE comes with many of the features you'd want from the Series 6, but lacks the new blood oxygen sensor, brighter always-on display, and fast charging. However, for most people, the Apple Watch SE may be the best option, since it costs over $100 less than the Series 6.

Like the Series 6, shoppers shouldn't pay retail price for the SE. It sees a discount of 15% regularly,

Product Card (medium, Preferred: Nike)

Apple Watch Series 3 deals

If price is your main concern, the older Apple Watch Series 3 is worth consideration. It is the cheapest option sold by the Apple Store.

The Series 3, while listed as $200, rarely leaves its discounted price of $169. Suffice it to say, shoppers should not buy it for more than $169, but should take advantage of any price below $169.

The best iPhone deals happening right now, including $120 off an iPhone 12 Mini

When you buy through our links, we may earn money from our affiliate partners. Learn more.

apple smart phone iphone 11 pro

Apple's iPhones are some of the best, most coveted smartphones around. While often priced higher than the Android competition, iPhones routinely see discounts that can make them easier to buy.

Currently, Apple's smartphone line-up consists of several different iPhones: the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 11, iPhone SE, and iPhone XR. Some older models are also still worth considering if you're more budget conscious. It can be overwhelming to figure out the best one for you, so check out our guides to the best iPhones and the best smartphones to help narrow your options down.

We'll update this list as deals surface.

The best iPhone deals of January 2021

Table of Contents: Masthead Sticky
iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini
Apple iPhone 12 and 12 Mini

An improvement on previous models in terms of design and camera quality, the new iPhone 12 is our pick for the best iPhone you can get overall. It comes in 5 colors: white, black, blue, green, and red. Depending on your storage needs, you can choose from the 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage sizes. You can also pick between the normal 6.1-inch display and the 5.4-inch display Mini.

Since the phone only came out in late 2020, deals for it aren't very common just yet — it's even difficult to find available from other retailers without being locked to a carrier. Right now, the best place to find it unlocked is from Apple, but if you're willing to enter a contract with AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or Sprint, you can find stock from other retailers, like Amazon and Walmart.

Product Card (medium, Preferred: Apple)  iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max
Apple iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max

If you want the best smartphone available on the market now and are willing to pay a premium price, the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max are for you. These models feature excellent cameras in low light and elegant design. The Pro Max will cost you an extra $100, but it has a larger 6.7-inch display and longer battery life than the smaller 6.1-inch version. Both are available in 4 colors: graphite, silver, gold, and pacific blue. You can choose between 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB depending on your needs.

Just like their smaller siblings, the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max are a bit too young to see any especially good deals yet. Right now, the only place you can reliably find a unit that isn't locked to a carrier is directly from Apple.

If you have an iPhone 8 or newer you're willing to part with, Verizon is offering $750 off a new Pro or Pro Max with trade-in and a new line — though the promo credit will apply over 24 to 30 months. If you're already a Verizon customer, you can get $440 off with a trade-in and upgrade as well, just select the second promotion.

Product Card (medium, Preferred: Apple)  iPhone SE (2020)
iphone SE apple gallery

Though it only comes with a single-lens camera, the iPhone SE is the best value you can find out of an iPhone. It has an older design, similar in look and feel to the iPhone 8; it's also the only modern model that retained the home button. It runs using the same powerful chip as the iPhone 11 and can cost as little as $399 if you settle for the 64GB. It comes in 3 colors: white, black, and red.

Since it's such a new addition to the Apple iPhone lineup, deals on the iPhone SE (2020) are few and far between right now. The best place to find one unlocked is from Apple, but if you're planning to sign up with a carrier like AT&T or Verizon anyway, you might be able to snag a better price from Amazon or Walmart.

  iPhone XR
iphone xr gallery apple

The iPhone XR may have come out back in 2018, but we still think it's a good option if you find it at a decent deal price. It has a big, 5.94-inch screen and still includes modern features like Face ID, the Touch ID replacement that uses your front-facing camera to unlock your phone, and wireless charging. It's the cheapest available option from the Apple lineup without compromising too much from performance. You can choose between white, black, blue, yellow, coral, and red.

The only place to buy a new unit is directly from the Apple store; if you don't mind buying renewed, Amazon and Best Buy are worth looking into. Right now the street price for one is $499 for the 64GB storage size.

Product Card (medium, Preferred: Amazon)  iPhone 11
apple smart phone iphone 11 pro
It's easy to merge your contacts and other information to a new device using iCloud.

Though it's the past generation of iPhone, the iPhone 11 still has great value worth considering if you want to pay less. It has a fast A13 Bionic chip, long battery life that we found lasted over 32 hours, wireless charging, and a dual-camera setup, all for as little as $599. It comes in 6 colors: white, black, green, yellow, purple, and red. It's our runner-up premium iPhone pick since it still has great features but will cost you so much less than the iPhone 12.

It's difficult to find this model unlocked and in new condition outside of the Apple Store. Its street price has dropped down to $599 for the 64GB storage capacity, a $100 drop since its release back in 2019.

Product Card (medium, Preferred: Amazon)  iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max
iphone 11 pro colors apple

Our picks for the best small premium iPhone and best big premium iPhone respectively, the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro Max are still great options for their solid triple camera system, speedy A13 Bionic chips, and Face ID to replace TouchID for unlocking your phone. The Pro offers up to 18 hours of battery life with video playback and the Pro Max offers up to 20 hours. We think they're still a good value if you can find them at a decent deal price.

Apple no longer sells the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, but you can still find them from other retailers — though they'll likely be locked in with carriers like Verizon and AT&T. If they see a reasonable discount, it may be worth buying so long as you don't mind entering a contract with a carrier to do so.

Several Nintendo Switch digital games are up to 50% off on Amazon, Best Buy, and Target right now

Nintendo Switch

Shoppers can find popular titles, like "Super Mario Maker 2," "Borderlands," and "Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics," down to their lowest prices ever during Nintendo's New Year Sale. Suffice to say, this is a perfect opportunity to fill up your Switch's digital library-if you managed to get a hold of one.

However, shoppers should consider shopping on Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target first.

With that said, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target, don't match all of the discounts seen on the New Year Sale. For instance, a digital copy of "Overcooked 2" is still $25 on Amazon, but is marked down to $12 on eShop.
